With the summer transfer window approaching, FC Bayern München appears to be joining the race for Marseille winger Luis Henrique.
As confirmed by multiple sources including Foot Mercato, the German giants have officially opened talks with both Olympique Marseille and the player’s representatives.

At just 23, Henrique has become one of the more sought-after left wingers in Europe this season.
Henrique has made 29 appearances for OM this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.
Bayern’s growing interest could be a sign that new head coach Vincent Kompany is starting to shape the squad in his image and finally address key weaknesses.
European Interest Growing – Bayern Join the Race

Henrique has attracted serious attention from Inter Milan, who are already in contact with his agents and plan to make a formal offer soon.
Bayer Leverkusen, Newcastle United, and Nottingham Forest are also reportedly in the mix, but Bayern’s direct discussions with both club and agent show they’re not simply observing from a distance.
Olympique Marseille, meanwhile, are holding firm on their valuation – more than €30m, according to reports.
The Brazilian is under contract until 2028, which gives the Ligue 1 side leverage in negotiations.
Why Bayern’s left wing needs reinforcement
From a Bayern perspective, looking at this profile makes sense. Certainly more so by comparison to the prospect of signing a new central midfielder given that the left wing has become a weak point this season.
Between Leroy Sané’s inconsistent form and injury-prone players like Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnabry, there’s been little consistency out wide.
Henrique offers something different: a technically gifted winger who combines flair with quick feet and an eye for the goal.
He’s also tactically flexible – able to operate on either side – something Kompany reportedly values highly. The coach even travelled in person to watch Henrique against PSG, underlining his serious interest.
A promising profile, but are there better fits?
While Henrique’s numbers (nine goals, six assists in 29 games) and skill set are impressive, some questions linger. Can he immediately adapt to the Bundesliga? Is he ready to deliver at the highest level for a club like Bayern?
Meanwhile, other names have been named in the Bayern rumour mill, including Nico Williams of Athletic Club and Rayan Cherki of Lyon.
Both offer slightly different profiles: Williams with his explosive pace and directness, Cherki with elite-level creativity and vision.
Both are far more well-developed at their age and would suit Bayern’s positional play better
Luis Henrique is a promising talent who could add depth to Bayern’s attack, especially in a problem area like the left wing.
But with a price tag of over €30m and other high-potential options on the market, much will depend on Bayern’s transfer budget and overall strategy this summer.
