Leroy Sane’s future will officially be at FC Bayern.
The German international is set to reject Arsenal in favour of continuing his stay at the Allianz Arena. The 29-year-old will sign a contract until the summer of 2028.
In an exciting piece of Liverpool news, we understand the Merseysiders were also interested in the potential free agent ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Leroy Sane is prepared to make cuts

Despite Premier League interest in his services, Sane is prepared to make sacrifices to continue his Bayern journey.
The No.10 has agreed to reduce his salary. He will now earn only €10m (and €5m in bonuses), instead of €15m (and €5m).
One factor that played a major part in this decision was Leroy Sane’s relationship with Jamal Musiala. The two friends want to win the Champions League together.
The 22-year-old already signed a new contract in February until 2030.
Also, it’s worth noting that Musiala and Harry Kane had been pressuring the Bayern bosses to give Sane a new contract.
A new contract is justified
A goal contribution (11 goals, five assists) every 134.18 minutes in 2024/25 may not seem like much. However, it’s already a noteworthy improvement on the prior term’s rate of one every 140.17 minutes.
Sofascore still consider Leroy Sane to be one of Bayern’s best 11 players this year. The winger has averaged a score of 7.15 in the Bundesliga.
It seems unlikely that he’ll hit the same dizzying assists total he managed in 2023/24 (11).
Though, of course, this may come down to the fact that his game appears slightly more careful and considered. Sane loses possession 10.2 times per game this term (compared to 14.8 times last season).
Moreover, there’s a wider squad harmony point to consider for Vincent Kompany’s men. Two of Bayern’s most important players, Musiala and Kane, want him to stay.
Achieving that objective will only increase either player’s commitment to the cause.
