It seems increasingly likely that Leroy Sane will leave Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old German international will become a free agent at the end of the season unless his current situation dramatically changes.
According to a report from Bild (printed edition, page 9), Sane will not accept the latest offer from Bayern, and this means his exit from the club is inevitable.
Leroy Sane’s future at Bayern – what’s going on?

Bayern were previously confident that Sane would stay at the club, after the German international publicly emphasised his decision to continue at the Allianz Arena.
However, the situation has completely changed after he switched his agent to Pini Zahavi.
Sane’s partner, Candice Brook, also wants to return to England, and it has prompted Zahavi to check opportunities in England.
Bayern have already presented an offer to Sane in the region of €10m [£8.39m] (plus €5m [£4.19m] in bonuses), and they don’t want to negotiate a fresh deal.
Sane doesn’t want to accept the current proposal. His agent, per Sky Germany, is demanding a massive signing bonus, somewhere in the range of €20m [£16.83m], and Bayern are unwilling to entertain the proposal.
Bayern’s director, Uli Hoeness, suggested that Sane needs time to think over his future, and he refused to give away internal details.
Hoeness said to Bild: “It’s his decision and he just needs time for that. If he has decided, we will let you know.”
Will Leroy Sane move to Arsenal?
Christian Falk reported recently that Arsenal were previously interested in signing Leroy Sane, and therefore, there could be a window of opportunity for the Gunners to reignite their interest.
Sane has been terrific for Bayern since joining from Manchester City in 2020. He has made 220 appearances for the Bavarian club and scored 61 goals in all competitions. The silky left-footed winger also registered 55 assists.
He has been superb for us in 2024/25 as well, managing 13 goals and six assists in all competitions.
As it stands, Bayern and Sane are way apart in their negotiations for a contract extension, and his exit now seems only a matter of time.
Bayern are choc-a-bloc with talented wide players, and they are looking to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Even if Sane leaves, he won’t be heavily missed.
