Arsenal’s hopes of landing Leroy Sané in the upcoming summer transfer window have been boosted.
The Germany international is understood to be contemplating a move away from Bayern Munich this summer.
His new agent, Pini Zahavi, is enabling this possibility, with the Israeli set to open talks with Premier League clubs.
Leroy Sane could reunite with Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta bemoaned the power of the ‘boxes’ following Arsenal’s 3-1 aggregate defeat to PSG.
Gianluigi’s Donnarumma’s imperious performance for the French finalists was specifically mentioned. On the flip side of the coin, the Gunners simply lacked the necessary firepower.
Players | Goal contributions (all competitions) | Minutes per goal contribution |
Bradley Barcola | 36 | 94.47 |
Goncalo Ramos | 21 | 71.38 |
Ousmane Dembele | 46 | 66 |
Gabriel Martinelli | 15 | 202.86 |
Kai Havertz | 20 | 138.8 |
Bukayo Saka | 26 | 93.38 |
That could all change for the better, of course, with some appropriate offensive reinforcements.
Christian Falk now reports that Sané’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is exploring options, including Arsenal.
“We heard that Leroy Sané’s girlfriend, Candice Brook, helped change his mind. She wants to go back to London,” the BILD reporter exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“So, Pini Zahavi now has to knock on a few doors and scout out opportunities. On that note, the Israeli wants to talk with Premier League clubs now about a prospective move.
“We already heard that a move to Chelsea would be difficult, as they’re committed to a philosophy of signing young players. There were talks before with Arsenal, but whether Mikel Arteta will be looking to bring this player to the club (having worked with him previously at Manchester City), I’m not sure. Newcastle United are also on this list.”
Sane admires the former Man City coach
The 29-year-old had nothing but positive words for his old mentor in 2024.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, the winger told the press (via the Mirror): “It was great. I was really pleased to work with him because he helped me a lot at Manchester City.
“We had a lot of individual talk about how I can improve my game. What are my weaknesses and strengths?
“Through him, I made quick, huge improvements because of the ideas he gave to me. I still keep them in my mind. If it’s about positioning, how I have to behave in certain situations, so I’m pleased for that.”
How much would Arsenal need to pay?
Leroy Sané himself is set to become a free agent this summer. Of course, that’s provided Bayern fail to agree fresh terms.
As far as the Bundesliga champions are concerned, however, a worrying precedent has already been set.
Indeed, a change of agents ahead of the summer should hardly be considered promising.
“I heard that Leroy Sané is no longer happy with the deal his old agent agreed,” Falk went on to add.
“At the beginning, Bayern offered a salary of €8m [£6.7m] a year. Bayern could, perhaps, pay €10m [£8.4m] – but both offers aren’t enough.
“It shouldn’t be forgotten that Sané previously changed his management from DB Venture (David Beckham’s agency) to Fali Ramadani just before moving to Bayern Munich in 2020. So, I think everyone knows what could happen now!”
One might then reasonably speculate that Sané and his entourage will be looking to stay put on €15m a year. Perhaps an even higher figure, depending on the extent of Premier League interest.
