Bayern Munich are edging closer to securing their first signing of the summer transfer window.
The Bundesliga champions are set to miss out on Florian Wirtz, who has decided to move to Liverpool, but they are close to signing another player from Bayer Leverkusen.
CFBayern Insider Christian Falk has confirmed that Jonathan Tah will sign a long-term contract at Bayern next week.
Jonathan Tah – first signing for Bayern Munich?

Bayern have been trying to sign the German defender for a while.
Max Eberl was keen to land the Bayer Leverkusen defender last year, but the Bayern board were not willing to sanction the funds for the move.
However, the situation has now changed completely.
Barcelona also wanted to sign the 29-year-old centre-back, but it appears that Bayern have moved ahead of other suitors and reached an agreement.
Tah’s contract is set to run out this summer, and Falk says that the defender has agreed to a deal with the German giants, which will keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2029.

Bayern have a solid defensive set-up, but they are lacking a defensive leader. Falk believes Tah is a must-have for the German giants.
Fabrizio Romano also added that Tah has agreed a deal with Bayern. Leverkusen are waiting for Bayern to make contact to discuss fee for Tah to be at the FIFA Club World Cup.
As it stands, Tah is likely to be our first signing of the summer window.
Tah will be terrific signing for Bayern Munich
The centre-back has played all his life in Germany. He has made over 400 senior appearances for Leverkusen and has 35 caps for the German national team.
He is vastly experienced, and his leadership qualities at the back will take Bayern to the next level.
At 6’5, Tah is very strong at air duels, and makes about 4.7 clearances per game, per sofascore, in the Bundesliga.
Bayern have done remarkably well to sign an experienced player of this calibre, and he could prove to be a hugely important signing for the club.
