Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly confident of signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane in the summer transfer window.
Despite finishing 17th in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, Spurs will be playing in the Champions League next season after winning the Europa League.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Sane, who will become a free agent in the summer. However, it appears that Spurs are leading the race at the moment.
Tottenham leading the race to sign Leroy Sane

Sane has already rejected a contract extension offer from the club, and his potential exit from Bayern cannot be ruled out.
Bayern are looking to restructure the contract offer for the German international by increasing the fixed salary from €10 million (£8.3m) to €12-€13 million (£10m-£10.8m).
Earlier this week, Bayern chief Max Eberl held talks with Sane’s agent, Pini Zahavi, and Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that a final decision is expected shortly.

The winger, however, could decide to move to London to stay close to his family.
Christian Falk informed CFBayern this week that Spurs hold a “concrete” interest in Sane, and he has provided us with another important update.
Falk told CFBayern that Sane’s agent, Zahavi, wants his client to join Tottenham.
Daniel Levy, the Tottenham CEO, is a good friend of Zahavi, and he is pulling the strings from behind to take Sane to London.
Falk informed us that Levy and Spurs are in a strong negotiating position. It appears to be a bad scenario for Bayern.
Big blow for Bayern if they lose Leroy Sane
The news will come as a huge boost for Tottenham. Sane, who is a Premier League winner with Manchester City, is a top-quality player, and he would be a massive signing for them.
For Bayern, it is bad news. After missing out on Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, it was important to keep hold of Sane, who has scored 61 goals and registered 55 assists in all competitions since joining from Man City in 2020.
Signing a new left winger is a priority for Bayern, and we must aim to secure the services of Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo or AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, if Sane leaves for Tottenham.
