Pini Zahavi may have two clubs lined up for Leroy Sane after contract u-turn

Leroy Sané’s future at Bayern Munich has been thrown into fresh doubt.

The Bavarian giants are no strangers to witnessing players change agents more frequently than their boots.

That said, reliable outlet BILD reports that the German winger’s latest change of heart has come as a complete surprise.

The attacker had a deal done and dusted ahead of the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Unfortunately, Sané has instead opted to throw quite the spanner of the works – all with the help of old Bayern nemesis Pini Zahavi.

The Essen-born star has officially swapped his old agency, 11Wins, for a partnership with the FC Bayern rebel-making Israeli agent.

The Bundesliga giants now have to start negotiations again from scratch.

A deal had been agreed

CF Bayern Insider’s Christian Falk reported that Sané had agreed a salary reduction to stay put in Munich for the foreseeable. However, the footballer exploited one loophole: He’d yet to provide his signature!

The former Manchester City star was set to earn €10m (and €5m in bonuses), as opposed to €15m (and €5m).

Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane were to get what they campaigned for, and the 29-year-old would get the opportunity to nail down his place with the Bundesliga champions.

The timing is, to be honest, a little strange, particularly with the title having been poised to return to Munich.

The door opens for the Premier League

It’s good news for Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal, who have been credited with interest.

However, it would be remiss of us to ignore the opportunity for fresh competition to arise ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

Zahavi’s close relationship with Barcelona and Chelsea is worth bearing in mind. The Spanish giants’ fondness for free agents should certainly set alarm bells ringing at Säbener Straße.

Leroy Sané’s contract is currently set to run out this summer.
