“Sublime” – DAZN pundit wowed by what 61-touch Bayern wizard did v Auckland City

Bayern Munich produced an exhilarating first-half performance against Auckland City at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.

The German champions showed no mercy as they went 6-0 up at the break in the FIFA Club World Cup Group stage game.

Four different players scored in the first half. Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise bagged a brace, while Sacha Boey and Thomas Muller also found the net.

Olise was arguably one of Bayern’s top performers last season, and he has been simply brilliant against Auckland City.

To be fair, Auckland looked clueless in the middle of the park, and they couldn’t come up with plans to stop both Bayern wingers, Olise and Coman.

Coman made history today as he became the first player to score in the new format of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Olise, the left-footed wizard, scored a stunning sixth for the Bavarian club right at the stroke of half-time, and it has left pundits in absolute awe.

While commentating on the game for DAZN, former England defender Anita Asante was full of praise for Michael Olise.

“This is an absolutely sublime finish. My favourite so far,” said Asante.

“The way Michael Olise chops inside, bends it past Tracey at far post, absolute quality finish.”

Michael Olise – the sky is the limit for him

It was a cracking goal from Olise that brought back memories of another Bayern legend – Arjen Robben.

Picking up the ball from the right, he darted past two players and moved centrally and then curled it past the keeper into the far corner. It was an amazing finish.

He made three key passes and took 61 touches, as per Sofascore. He made five successful dribbles and registered two assists as well.

Olise was a special talent at Crystal Palace, but he has taken his game to a whole new level at Bayern. Only 23, his best years are ahead of him, and the sky is the limit for the Frenchman.
