Bayern Munich are likely to suffer yet another major blow in the transfer race to land one of their dream targets.
Liverpool and other Premier League clubs registered interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, who is valued at around £68m.
The Reds broke their transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz this summer, but Arne Slot could still be looking to sign another winger to add more quality to the star-studded squad.
Bradley Barcola – what’s the latest scenario?

Liverpool could fancy signing a new winger if they sell either Luis Diaz or Cody Gakpo, and recent reports suggest Barcola is on their transfer wish-list.
Bayern Munich are also heavily keen to sign him, and Christian Falk told CFBayern that the 22-year-old is a dream signing for the club.
Bayern do hold an advantage over Liverpool (and other Premier League clubs) in the race for Barcola. The winger has recently switched his agent, and his new agency is well-connected with Bayern.
However, it was always going to be difficult for the German champions to sign Barcola, as PSG are reluctant to sell him. They see him as a key player.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has informed Bayern that Barcola is a key part of their project. The transfer would be “very complicated” to pull through.

Options are getting limited for Bayern Munich
Bayern need top-quality attackers in their ranks for next season as they will be without Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller.
Barcola, who scored 22 goals and provided 19 assists last season, would have been a terrific signing for the club. He played a key role for PSG and helped them win a historic treble, including the Champions League.
While Bayern can match the player’s asking price, it will be really difficult to lure him away if PSG refuse to sell him. The same logic applies to Liverpool as well, although it is highly unlikely that they would be looking to sign Barcola at all.
The next few weeks will be crucial for Bayern. If they lose Nico Williams to Barcelona, Jamie Gittens to Chelsea, and miss out on Barcola, they will be running out of quality options.
