‘Very well connected’: Huge morning update gives Bayern advantage over Liverpool to sign 26-goal star

Bayern Munich and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, but this time, the German giants have an advantage.

The two European powerhouses were engaged in a tug-of-war for Florian Wirtz, and despite Bayern’s strong attempts, they were unable to prevent the Bayern Leverkusen midfielder from moving to Liverpool.

It appears they could be engaged in another off-the-pitch transfer duel for Barcola, and this time Bayern might edge Liverpool.

Liverpool are gearing up for a massive transfer window. After signing Jeremie Frimpong, they are set to sign Wirtz for a potential fee of £114 million, including add-ons, which will break the British transfer record.

The Reds are also in talks to sign left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Barcola could become yet another big-money signing for the Reds, with recent reports suggesting he is on Liverpool’s transfer wish-list.

The 22-year-old winger and forward was one of the key players for PSG against Liverpool in the Champions League, and in the end, they went on to win the competition.

The Frenchman scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in Ligue 1 last season. He has scored 26 goals for PSG since joining them from Lyon. Barcola is also on Bayern’s radar, and the German giants could move for him if they fail to sign Nico Williams.

Bayern have an advantage over Liverpool, as Barcola’s agency is well-connected with the German club.

“Barcola is hard to get; PSG don’t want to sell him,” Christian Falk, the head of football at the BILD group exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.

“Interestingly, though, Bradley Barcola has changed agents. He is no longer being advised by star agent Jorge Mendes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s old representative.

“He has switched to Moussa Sissoko and Marco Lichtsteiner. They are also Jamie Gittens’ agents. The agency is also very well connected with FC Bayern. If there is a chance of a transfer, FC Bayern will be attentive to the opportunity.”

Who else could Bayern Munich sign?

Nico Williams was Bayern’s ‘dream’ target, but the Athletic Bilbao winger prefers to join FC Barcelona in the summer.

The Bavarian club need to replace the likes of Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, and possibly Kingsley Coman, and they need to attract top-quality players.

It makes sense for Bayern to seriously look to secure deals; otherwise, they may end up losing all their top targets.

Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo has been recently linked with a move and he would be a smart addition.

Bayern has the advantage over other suitors in the race for Bracola, and they must pay a premium fee to secure his services.
