Bayern player ratings v Auckland City – Star sublime at 10/10; flop gets 5/10

Bayern Munich produced a dominant display as they humiliated Auckland City 10-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage game at TQL Stadium.

Substitute Jamal Musiala scored a hat-trick. Kingsley Coman, Michael Olise and Thomas Muller scored two goals each, while Sacha Boey also got his name on the scoresheet.

Here at CF Bayern Insider, we have rated the players out of 10.

The first XI

Manuel Neuer (6) – The German goalkeeper hardly had to make a save. He probably will not get a more comfortable afternoon than this for the rest of the tournament.

Jonathan Tah (7) – In his first game for Bayern, he instantly made an impact by providing the assist for Kingsley Coman’s goal. He achieved a 90% passing accuracy and won 3 out of 4 aerial duels.

Josip Stanisic (7) – Won 100% ground duels and made one clearance. Auckland didn’t pose enough of a threat, and it was a comfortable afternoon for him.

Sacha Boey (8) – He is seen as surplus to requirements at the club, and has been linked with a move away from Bayern this summer. Boey scored one goal, made two key passes with 99% accuracy. His link-up play with Olise was brilliant.

Raphael Guerreiro (6) – He was busy on the left and was solid defensively. Replaced at the hour mark.

Joshua Kimmich (8) – Bossed the midfield by taking over 125 touches. He was successful in making seven out of eight long balls attempted.

Aleksander Pavlovic (7) – The German midfielder was equally brilliant, as he made two key passes and managed more than 110 touches.

Michael Olise (9) – The Frenchman was described as “sublime” for his magnificent second goal. He grabbed two assists, and Auckland had no answers on how to stop him.

Thomas Muller (9) – In his final few games at the club, Muller is enjoying every moment. He scored two goals and provided one assist. Imperious.

Kingsley Coman (9) – The French winger has been linked with a move away from the club, but he made history today by scoring the first-ever goal in the new FIFA Club World Cup. Could have easily scored a hat-trick.

Harry Kane (5) – The England striker couldn’t make an impact at all. He managed to hit just one shot on target.

Substitutions

Jamal Musiala (10) – It took him just 30 minutes to register a hat-trick as he produced a stellar performance. Bayern fans will hope that he can maintain this form throughout the tournament.

Dayot Upamecano – (6)

Adam AznouNA

Serge Gnabry (6)

Lennart Karl (6)
