Chelsea have been very busy in the summer transfer window and have already made some important signings.
The Blues have already made four signings. Liam Delap moved to Stamford Bridge for £30m from Ipswich Town, Estevao joined from Palmeiras for £29m, Dario Essugo arrived from Sporting Lisbon for £18m, and Mamadou Sarr joined from Strasbourg for £12m.
Chelsea have had a £42m bid for English winger Jamie Gittens rejected by Borussia Dortmund, and the Blues could miss out on Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams as well.
Nico Williams – Bayern Munich take steps forward

Williams could be in demand in the summer transfer window, with several heavyweight clubs vying for his signature.
Fabrizio Romano told DAZN last week that Williams is a “dream target” for Chelsea. But they are likely to face strong competition from Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants need to bolster their attacking areas in the summer. Leroy Sane has agreed to a move to Galatasaray, while Kingsley Coman is facing an uncertain future.
Bayern have also registered interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, but Williams remains their top priority target.
Christian Falk has informed CFBayern that Max Eberl, the head of Sport for Bayern, has already met with Williams’ officials in Munich and talks have been held.
Bayern will need to pay a fee in the region of £51m (release clause) to sign Williams, but his salary demands could prove to be a major stumbling block.
Nico Williams will be a cracking signing for Bayern Munich
Williams could demand a salary of over £20m per year, and there is a possibility that he could continue extending his contract at Athletic Bilbao.
The Spaniard has scored 31 goals in all competitions for Bilbao since making his senior debut in 2020. He is a pacey winger with loads of trickery, and his best years are ahead of him.
Florian Plettenberg claimed that Williams could imagine moving to Bayern. Chelsea need to act quickly if they are serious about landing him.
He is a special talent, and Bayern must do everything to bring him to the Allianz Arena in the summer.
