Club send message after Bayern held talks to sign £25.6m attacker – report

Bayern Munich are keen to bolster their attacking department, and they have been linked with a host of top players already.

The German champions are ideally looking to sign a left winger, but they also made an effort to sign a creative attacking midfielder in Florian Wirtz.

The Bundesliga giants are also reportedly looking to sign a new striker this summer, and Cruzeiro star Kaio Jorge has emerged as a potential option.

According to a report from O Tempo Sports, Bayern have made an approach to sign the 23-year-old striker.

The Bavarian giants have already sent a representative to Belo Horizonte to collect information about the striker who was the top scorer for Cruzeiro last season.

The Brazilian scored 10 goals and provided two assists in all competitions in 2025, and Bayern are showing keen interest in him.

As of now, initial talks have been held, and Bayern have not made any offer.

Clubs from the Middle East are also interested, but the Brazilian club are not willing to sell him at the moment, even for a big profit.

He has a contract at the club until 2029, and it would take an offer over £25.6m to lure him away. He is a key player for the club, and Cruzeiro’s message is clear — the striker is not for sale.

Do Bayern Munich need another striker?

Bayern have arguably one of the best strikers in the world in the form of Harry Kane.

The England striker was the Bundesliga’s top scorer last season, and he can continue his impressive form for at least a few more years.

Do they need another second-choice striker? Thomas Muller will not be there anymore next season, while Gabriel Vidovic has moved to Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayern need a left-winger and they have been keeping a close eye on players like Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, among others.

Gakpo can play as a left-winger and as a striker, and he could be a smart signing for Bayern.

It remains to be seen if Bayern make a bid for Jorge in the coming days.
