DAZN pundit says one Bayern player was “spectacular” v Auckland City

Bayern Munich recorded the biggest win in the history of the Club World Cup after beating Auckland City 10-0 on Sunday in Cincinnati.

Vincent Kompany’s side outclassed the New Zealand part-timers, with Jamal Musiala scoring a hat-trick.

Thomas Muiller, Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise bagged a brace, while Sacha Boey added another to complete a record win.

The day started brightly for the Bundesliga champions, where Coman put them in front inside six minutes. He made history by scoring the first goal of the new FIFA Club World Cup format.

Muller, playing his last tournament for Bayern, registered his 250th goal for the club, while Olise has been hailed as “sublime” after he scored a cracking goal at half-time.

Harry Kane couldn’t make an impact in the game, and the England striker was taken off at the hour mark. Jamal Musiala replaced him, and he took the centre stage.

Musiala produced a 10/10 performance and he netted a hat-trick after coming from the bench.

DAZN pundit Anita Asante was in awe of Musiala as he scored his first goal to make it 7-0. The former England player hailed his strike as “spectacular”.

“That was a spectacular finish from Jamal Musiala,” said Asante on DAZN.

“He knew exactly where he was going to hit the ball and did exactly that.”

Vincent Kompany will be pleased with the performance

The game was effectively over after 25 minutes, when Bayern took a comfortable 4-0 lead.

They couldn’t cope with Bayern’s superior quality, and the players ensured they took advantage, as the goal difference could prove to be a significant factor in the end.

Bayern made an effort to bring Jonathan Tah in this competition by paying a fee to Bayer Leverkusen, and they have made a great start. Tah made an instant impact, registering his first assist.

Musiala was superb yet again. He made two tackles and one interception, as per Sofascore, to round off an excellent performance.
