Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman etched his name in history as the first-ever goal scorer of the new FIFA Club World Cup.
The Bavarian giants have taken a healthy 6-0 lead at the break, and Coman has already scored two goals against Auckland City.
Sacha Boey, Michael Olise (twice) and Thomas Muller also got their names on the scoresheet. Coman also registered an assist for Boey’s goal.
Kingsley Coman – simply unstoppable

Coman jumped high and headed an effort on goal, but it was saved by the keeper inside four minutes. It didn’t take long for him to find the net, as from the resulting corner, he glanced his header perfectly with summer signing Jonathan Tah providing the assist.
The French winger showed his dazzling skills for the fourth goal as he got past his marker with ease before hammering across the goal with his left foot.
Bayern enjoyed a lion’s share of possession, and Auckland City had no clue about how to stop Coman, who looked simply unstoppable at the TQL Stadium.
Coman is still facing an uncertain future
The 29-year-old is one of the players whom Bayern could sell in the summer transfer window.
He has become surplus to requirements at Bayern, and he has no shortage of admirers.
Reports emerged earlier this month that Bayern are looking to sign Rafael Leao, and they are willing to offer either Leon Goretzka or Coman to sweeten the deal.
The problem is that Coman is also targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs, and he could be tempted to move there, where he would be able to earn loads of money.
This has been a top-class performance from Coman, and it will be interesting to see if Bayern decide against selling him, especially after Leroy Sane’s move to Galatasaray.
