Huge Luis Diaz transfer breakthrough could happen imminently but Bayern fans won’t like it

Bayern Munich could reportedly face strong competition from Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr to sign Liverpool winger Luis Diaz this summer.

The Reds winger has a contract at Anfield until 2027, and Liverpool have made it clear that the Colombian is not for sale.

La Liga giants Barcelona are also in the race to sign Diaz, but doubts remain whether they have the financial power to pull off the deal.

Diaz scored 17 goals in all competitions for Liverpool in 2024-25, and he is seen as an important part of Arne Slot’s first-team plans.

Moreover, the Reds may not be willing to sell Diaz following the tragic death of Diogo Jota.

Liverpool’s hard stance is mainly for accounting purposes, but in reality, the Reds could be willing to listen to offers for Luis Diaz for anything around £86m.

According to a report from Sport, Al-Nassr are refusing to go away, and they are willing to meet Liverpool’s asking price for Diaz.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently signed a lucrative contract with the club, is urging the Saudi club to sign Diaz.

As of now, Diaz has shown no indication that he is agitating for a move, but the Middle East offers could turn his head away.

Bayern should be worried about Al-Nassr threat

The German champions have already submitted two bids, and both of them were rejected.

The latest offer was around £58.6m, which shows that Bayern are serious about signing Diaz.

The Colombian international has already agreed to move to Bayern, and now the two clubs only need to come to an agreement.

Will Bayern pay over the top to match Diaz’s asking price? While Diaz personally favours a move to either Germany or Spain, if the Saudi club enters the race, they will have to meet the asking price.

Otherwise, they will need Diaz to be prepared to sanction the deal, which is unlikely.

Thus, a transfer breakthrough could happen imminently if Al-Nassr join the race, and Bayern fans will not like it at all.

If Bayern miss out on Diaz, they are likely to move for Leandro Trossard or Xavi Simons.

To a LFC fan, it shows the opposite – that Bayern aren’t serious. The price is goi g to be around £75m plus add ons. If that is beyond Bayern, please move on now and stop wasting our time.
