Bayern Munich have switched their attention towards signing Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old joined the Gunners in the January window of 2023 from Brighton & Hove Albion, and scored 28 goals in 124 games in all competitions.
The Belgium winger has become a key player under Mikel Arteta, and the Gunners boss hailed him as “a little magician” last season.
Leandro Trossard – alternative option for Luis Diaz?

Bayern are desperate to bolster their wide areas this summer following the departures of Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Mathys Tel. On top of that, Jamal Musiala is expected to be out for at least four to five months due to injury.
The German champions have made Liverpool winger Luis Diaz their top target this summer, and have had an offer rejected for the Colombian. It appears that Bayern are already checking out other options, and Trossard could become their “next big signing”.
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has been linked with a move to Bayern in the present transfer window, and now Trossard has also emerged as a potential target.
Christian Falk has informed CFBayern that the 44-times capped Belgium international is one of the candidates for Bayern if a deal for Diaz falls through.
Trossard also changed his management at the beginning of July and is now being advised by German agent Dirk Hebel.
Trossard could be a smart signing for Bayern
Of all the players linked with a move so far, Trossard is the oldest of all. At 30, he will not have any resale value.
At the same time, he is expected to arrive at a decent price. Trossard scored 10 goals in all competitions last season and can play in all positions up front.
The former Genk winger has a few good years left in him, and he can make an immediate impact. He could be a smart option for the Bavarian club.
Arsenal can also look to offload him and reinvest the money in buying another top winger, such as Rodrygo, whose future has come under doubt at Real Madrid.
