Bayern Munich could look to offload Kim Min-jae to the Premier League this summer.
The South Korean international is looking like the most likely centre-half to be sold.
Max Eberl has already helped the club achieve the minimum target of signing a defensive leader in the form of Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.
Dayot Upamecano looks to have taken precedence and will continue with Vincent Kompany’s men going into the 2025/26 campaign.
The Premier League beckons for Kim Min-jae

One might reasonably come to the conclusion that there is a deal to be done with Chelsea, given Bayern’s reported interest in Renato Veiga.
The Blues, like Tottenham, are in the market for a new centre-back, and won’t find many in Europe with more experience than Min-jae.
However, neither outfit has pushed on to concrete negotiations with the Bundesliga champions. For that to change, it seems the Premier League clubs may need to offload some deadwood themselves.
“We’ve heard that Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in Kim Min-jae,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“There’s not any concrete movement on this front at the moment, partly because I think these clubs also have to sell players on their end.
“Bayern Munich are still willing to sell the South Korean centre-back, but there’s nothing concrete.”
The 28-year-old centre-back’s current contract is set to run until the summer of 2028.
Who else is interested in the Bundesliga centre-half?
Liverpool have previously been credited with some interest in Kim Min-jae.
AC Milan, along with the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Nassr, have also been cited as possible next destinations.
Why do Bayern want to sell Kim Min-jae?
Bayern Munich had a choice to make at the start of the summer transfer window: sell Kim Min-jae or Dayot Upamecano.
The remaining centre-half would then partner a defensive leader, given the current pairing is lacking in organisational skills, if not quality.
With Dayot Upamecano impressing during the Club World Cup and Min-jae stuck on the sidelines recovering from injury, it seems the choice has been made.
Ultimately, Bayern find themselves in a position where they will need to raise funds to afford further forays into the market beyond their priority targets (Luis Diaz and Nick Woltemade).
In which case, it looks inevitable that the former Napoli defender will be one of several stars to make way if the club can find a suitable offer and buyer.
