Bayern Munich are putting all their attention on bolstering the attacking front, but they could also look to make changes at the back if the right opportunity arrives.
The German giants have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto, and he still remains one of their prime targets.
The Blues will have to sell some of their first-team players this summer to comply with the financial rules of Europe’s governing bodies.
Unless Chelsea offload some of their first-team players who featured in the Conference League last season, they will not be able to register new players for the Champions League. Gusto could be sacrificed in such a scenario.
Bayern chasing Malo Gusto

Simon Phillips reported last month that Bayern had made an approach to sign Gusto.
Last week, L’Equipe also claimed that Bayern had made an enquiry about signing the 22-year-old full-back.
Since joining Chelsea for a fee of £26.3m, Gusto has become a key player for the Blues. However, they are suggestions that the Frenchman could drop down the pecking order behind Reece James, and as a result, a potential exit cannot be ruled out.
Bayern need to make bold transfer call
Christian Falk has explained the situation of Gusto to CFBayern, where the Bild journalist says that Bayern need to offload a few players to make room for a new addition in defence.
Falk said: “As we can see, Bayern Munich are primarily focused on bolstering the offence this summer – they really want to do that.
“If they can manage to sell players, pursuing the Chelsea duo becomes more possible. They like Malo Gusto and, yes, they have an eye on Renato Veiga.
“However, in both cases, they have to sell players first. So, with Malo Gusto, he’s playing at right-back, and FC Bayern don’t want to sell Konrad Laimer. They don’t want to sell Josip Stanišić either, but they do want to part ways with Sacha Boey. So, if they could sell this player, there could be an option for Gusto.”
Sacha Boey has been previously linked with a move away from Bayern, and he is the one most likely to leave if the Bavarian club decide to sell at all.
