‘Imminently’ – Bayern set to submit tempting bid for Liverpool attacker

Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to submit their third bid for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The Reds winger is the top target for Bayern this summer, and the German giants are determined to land him.

The Colombian international has a contract at Anfield until 2027, but Diaz has informed Liverpool of his desire to move to Bayern if the right offer arrives.

Liverpool have rejected two bids from Bayern already, as they maintained their stance that the player is not for sale.

However, it’s clear that position could, and probably will, change if they receive a sizeable offer.

After spending over £300m on seven new signings, Liverpool will look to offload a few players to balance the books, and Diaz could be one of them.

Bayern’s latest offer for Diaz was around €67.5m [£58.4m]. Christian Falk previously informed CFBayern that, at a minimum, €80m [£69.2m] could bring FC Bayern to the table for negotiations for Diaz.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs has shared the latest update on Diaz. He claimed on X that Bayern are expected to submit their next bid “imminently”, thought to be in the region of €75m [£65m].

The Bundesliga champions will not pay more than €80m [£69.2m] for Diaz.

The winger’s agent Raul Costa spent several days in Merseyside to negotiate and explore the possibilities of a deal, and Bayern are optimistic that a deal could be struck.

This has to be the final offer from Bayern

Liverpool can afford to keep Diaz, but it will not be a smart idea to reject such a tempting offer.

Bayern must have received sufficient indications from Diaz’s camp that a potential transfer could occur. However, if Liverpool still feel that the offer is not good enough, Bayern should look for options elsewhere.

Liverpool are most likely to accept the offer, as they could use the money to sign Alexander Isak, who has reportedly informed Newcastle United that he wants to explore options elsewhere in the summer transfer window.
