Vincent Kompany’s men looked to have taken control of first-half proceedings following Harry Kane’s golden chance in the box.
Unfortunately, the Bavarians were left shellshocked at the end of the first 45 following an awful injury suffered by Jamal Musiala.
The electric attacking midfielder had looked to pounce on a late opportunity in the 18-yard box. What followed was a coming together between the German and PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the latter upending his opponent.
Jamal Musiala suffers serious injury against PSG

It’s just not something you ever wish to see happen to a sportsman.
The reactions from Musiala’s teammates, not to mention an evidently distraught Donnarumma, hardly indicate that the 22-year-old got away from the contact unscathed.

Having reviewed footage from the clash in question, it would appear that the footballer suffered a dislocated ankle.
Our man on the ground at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Bayern insider Christian Falk, confirmed: “They took away Jamal Musiala on a stretcher after the incident.”
It has to be said that this dreadful news comes as a huge shame after Jamal Musiala only recently returned from a muscle bundle tear in his hamstring (in April).
This had been the midfielder’s first start in the Club World Cup, with the player registering a hat-trick in the 10-goal demolition job of Auckland City in mid-June.
We at CF Bayern Insider would like to wish our No.42 a speedy recovery.
Who came on for Bayern after Musiala injury?
Vincent Kompany was forced to bring on Serge Gnabry after the half-time break, with both sides having entered the second half with the score tied.
As things stand at the time of writing (48 minutes into the clash), the two sides are tied on shots on target faced.
PSG hold a slight advantage in possession, but Bayern will have felt optimistic heading into the second half after taking control of the tie after the half-hour mark.
