Bayern Munich consider it possible for them to sign both Luis Diaz and Nick Woltemade this summer.
The two attackers sit right at the top of the Bundesliga champions’ summer transfer list.
Intriguingly, the Bavarians theoretically do not need player sales to complete both prospective deals.
Vincent Kompany’s men already had €150m [£129.7m] set aside for Florian Wirtz before the German international’s move to Liverpool.
So, there is room to manoeuvre within the budget.
UPDATE: Christian Falk now reports that the bosses at FC Bayern are confident of soon securing a meeting with Liverpool to discuss the transfer of Luis Diaz.
Bayern have already secured an agreement on personal terms with the Premier League wide man on a four-year contract at a rate of €14m [£12.1m] (plus add-ons) per year.
Bayern continue to push for Luis Diaz & Nick Woltemade deals

Neither transfer effort, of course, can be considered plain sailing. Both Liverpool and VfB Stuttgart are rigidly committed to receiving a sizeable fee for their respective talents.
In an ideal world, of course, neither would leave. However, there is some expectation that a fee around the £80m mark would give Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, serious food for thought.
“Bayern Munich are working hard on these two transfers – they are absolute priorities!” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“In both cases, two offers have already been made. The last offer for Woltemade came on Tuesday evening, with Bayern Munich offering €50m [£43.2m] plus €5m in add-ons (and, additionally, a 10% sell-on clause). VfB Stuttgart rejected this immediately.
“It was a similar story for Luis Diaz. We exclusively revealed at CF Bayern Insider that there was an offer of €52m [£44.9m]. This was then followed by a report from David Ornstein at The Athletic on FC Bayern’s €67.5m [£58.4m] bid. However, Liverpool rejected such advances as well.”
As noted by our Bundesliga insider, €80m [£69.2m], at a minimum, could bring FC Bayern to the table for negotiations for Diaz.
For Woltemade, we’re likewise of the understanding that a bumper fee of €65m [£56.2m] would perform a similar function.
Falk went on to add: “In the case of Woltemade and Stuttgart, it is still the opinion of the Bundesliga outfit that they won’t sell the striker in the current summer transfer window.
“That said, we heard that this could still be part of the poker game. €65m [£56.2m] would be a price they would go to the table for.
“In the case of Luis Diaz, you never know how willing Liverpool are to enter into negotiations, but Diaz has communicated to Bayern Munich yet again that he wants to join them. We expect that about €80m [£69.2m] will be required for Liverpool to entertain a first round of talks.
“Personal terms have already been agreed with Woltemade. In the end, Stuttgart know that they perhaps have to do something, otherwise it could be a difficult season for the German international.”
What do the stats say about Nick Woltemade and Luis Diaz
A quick overview of what Luis Diaz, Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman offer on the pitch is quite instructive as to what Bayern fans should expect from their next potential signing.
In terms of combined goal and creative threat, the Liverpool left winger wasn’t far off matching his Galatasaray counterpart.
Statistical analysis from Data MB places the 28-year-old in the 97.1st percentile for npxG combined with xA. Sané sits slightly higher in the 99.1st percentile.
Beyond that, there are tangible differences between cross completion and the number of assists.

Whilst Nick Woltemade doesn’t fit neatly into the category of a like-for-like Harry Kane successor, his comparative stats to the England international should be considered encouraging.
The 23-year-old striker compares well in all major attacking attributes. However, he is, rather strangely, found to be wanting as far as aerial threat is concerned, despite standing at 6′ 6″.
This is arguably more than compensated for by Woltemade’s off-the-ball work and link-up play.
