Liverpool’s latest transfer plans on £130m star should excite Bayern fans

Bayern Munich are optimistic of securing a deal for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The German giants will need to pay a handsome fee to lure the Colombian away from Anfield, but there is growing confidence that Liverpool would be willing to negotiate a deal.

Barcelona are already out of the race, and Diaz is unlikely to move to Saudi Arabia, which puts Bayern in a strong position. The German champions will be further boosted by Liverpool’s transfer plans, which could help them land their top target.

Liverpool have spent over £300m already on seven new players, and despite signing Hugo Ekitike, they are keen to land Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Reds are readying a British record offer to land the Magpies striker, who still has three years’ contract remaining at St James’ Park.

Isak has informed Newcastle that he wants to explore his options this summer. Newcastle have set an asking price of £130m, and Liverpool will be ready to pay it if needed.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Reds could fund the move by selling players such as Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa, and Luis Diaz.

Diaz has already informed Liverpool of his desire to join Bayern Munich. The German champions are preparing a third offer to sign Diaz, who scored 17 goals last season under Arne Slot.

Bayern fans will be excited by Isak’s update

It has been suggested that Bayern are expected to submit their next bid in the region of €75m [£65m].

They will not pay more than €80m [£69.2m] for the 28-year-old attacker, and that should be a very good deal for the Reds to consider.

Diaz’s agent, Raul Costa, spent several days in Merseyside negotiating and exploring the possibilities of a deal, and Liverpool may be willing to sanction the player’s exit this time.
