Man Utd receive boost to sign £30m player after Eberl’s latest comments

Manchester United may have received a huge boost to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Palhinha in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are looking to bolster their defensive midfield options this summer, and the former Fulham midfielder has emerged as a major target.

Palhinha wants to stay at Bayern and fight for his place, but the German giants could be willing to sell him if they receive the right offer.

After finishing 15th in the Premier League last season, Man Utd are looking to rebuild the squad under Ruben Amorim.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are interested in signing the 29-year-old defensive midfielder on loan.

Christian Falk previously informed CFBayern Insider that Bayern have set an asking price of £30m for Palhinha, but as of now, no club has submitted a formal bid.

Palhinha struggled to make an impact last season under Vincent Kompany and has been largely overlooked in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Max Eberl recently spoke about Palhinha’s future. When asked to comment on Palhinha and Kim Min-jae’s future, he said: “We’ll play with both of them until the end of the Club World Cup. They’ll be in the squad. After that, we’ll see what the transfer market looks like.”

It shows that Eberl has refused to rule out a potential exit for Palhinha. His comments should come as a huge boost for Manchester United if they are serious about signing him.

Palhinha should consider a move to the Premier League

The Portuguese midfielder enjoyed his best spell in the Premier League, and he should consider a move to return to England if there’s a good offer on the table.

At the moment, it does not look like Vincent Kompany trusts him. A player of his calibre should be playing regularly, and he would be ideal for Man Utd.

Unless there is a dramatic change in his situation, he is unlikely to play regularly for Bayern.

At the same time, Bayern should only sell him on loan if a club agree to buy him permanently. It will be interesting to see if Man Utd come up with a tempting offer to lure him away from the Allianz Arena this summer.
