Could Michael Olise return to the Premier League?
✅ It is TRUE: Premier League clubs have Michael Olise on their radar. The Frenchman is currently in top form. Thomas Müller already predicted in a conversation with me that the winger would become an absolute leader at FC Bayern! Of course, other top European clubs have also noticed this. PSG are interested in Olise, and as a Frenchman, he would fit perfectly into the Ligue 1 outfit’s philosophy. But in England, too, there is annoyance that the player was not kept in the Premier League. Only Newcastle made a serious effort, but lost the poker game against Bayern Munich. Now, bigger clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in Michael Olise. However, FC Bayern will not accept any offers. Good news for Bayern: the rumours about an exit clause in Olise’s contract are NOT TRUE.
Nicolas Jackson to the Bundesliga?
✅ It is TRUE: Bayern are confident they can sign Nicolas Jackson this summer. Max Eberl has long denied interest in Nicolas Jackson. Following reports in CF Bayern Insider and BILD, he has now admitted that FC Bayern are interested in the Chelsea player. In fact, there was a supervisory board meeting on Monday at which it was decided that Jackson should be loaned out. FC Bayern have reached an agreement with the player. Now, a solution must be found with Chelsea. Unlike with Christopher Nkunku, Chelsea is willing to discuss a loan for Jackson. But there are also demands: Bayern must cover his entire salary and pay a loan fee in the low double digits. That is currently being negotiated. In addition, Chelsea must comply with the number of players allowed to be loaned abroad. That would still be possible in Jackson’s case.
Vincent Kompany pleads the case for transfers
✅ It is TRUE: Vincent Kompany confronted Uli Hoeneß over the thin squad and asked him to let Bayern sign Xavi Simons. Kompany travelled to Lake Tegernsee, the home of Uli Hoeneß, to ask the Bayern chief to buy more players. One of his wishes was RB Leipzig playmaker Simons. However, the supervisory board remains firm in its stance: only players on loan will be signed. Kompany was not alone in his efforts. A sports boss accompanied him to Tegernsee. The coach, sporting director and players all agree: more bodies are needed to have a chance of winning the Champions League.
Max Eberl wants to make the squad bigger
✅ It is TRUE: Bayern are still searching for a number 10. Max Eberl wants to sign another player for the attack in addition to Nicolas Jackson. He is looking for a number 10. He was unsuccessful with Xavi Simons. The player was willing to transfer to Munich. However, Bayern only wanted to loan him, while Leipzig only want to sell Simons. Now, Tottenham look set to win the race for Simons. The situation is similar with Christopher Nkunku. Chelsea only wants to sell, while Bayern Munich wants to loan him. However, Nkunku is now set to sign for AC Milan.
Could Dayot Upamecano follow in David Alaba’s footsteps?
✅ It is TRUE: Real Madrid are interested in Dayot Upamecano. For a long time, the question was why there had been no progress in the negotiations for a new contract for Upamecano since March. One reason is that both parties are still too far apart in their salary expectations. The other reason is Real Madrid. The Spanish club wants to sign Upamecano in 2026, when his contract expires. They did the same thing in 2021 with David Alaba, who came from Munich without a transfer fee. Alaba’s contract expires in 2026. Upamecano would be the perfect replacement. Again, without paying a transfer fee.
Nick Woltemade will sign for Newcastle
✅ It is TRUE: Woltemade’s transfer to Bayern is off. In a major development on Thursday, Newcastle took control of the Nick Woltemade transfer story! The 23-year-old is set to undergo a medical today. VfB Stuttgart had planned on offering the striker a new contract with an improved salary after the September 1 deadline. FC Bayern themselves were prepared to be patient and try again for the player in 2026. However, Newcastle’s need for an Alexander Isak successor has seen the Magpies act swiftly to secure the signature of one of Europe’s top attacking prospects. A blow and a big disappointment for FC Bayern!
