Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Christopher Nkunku in the summer window.
The Magpies have bolstered their attacking areas by signing Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa, but they could be looking for more depth and quality in the side if Alexander Isak leaves.
Bayern Munich are also in the race to sign the French attacker, who has reportedly asked to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.
Bayern Munich leading the race for Nkunku

According to journalist, Marc Mechenoua, Newcastle and Inter Milan are also in the race to sign the French attacker who has become surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
The Le Parisien journalist claimed that Chelsea have rejected a loan offer from Bayern, and they are only willing to sell him permanently.
Nkunku is likely to drop down the pecking order at Chelsea, following the arrivals of Joao Pedro, Estevao, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens. His position would come under serious threat if the Blues land players like Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons.
He was dropped from Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace in their opening Premier League game, and his future lies away from the club.
Bayern were informed that Nkunku could stay for another year at the London club, but they are in active discussion over the player’s transfer.
Newcastle yet to submit offer for Nkunku
It has been reported that Chelsea value the 27-year-old at €50m [£43.1m] but would likely accept a slightly lower initial figure plus add-ons if it meant Bayern agreeing to a permanent deal.
Could Newcastle make a late move and hijack the deal? The Magpies can lure him with the offer of Champions League football, while the player might be interested in continuing in the Premier League rather than moving to Germany.
Bayern have the funds to sign another quality attacker this summer, and it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price.
