Bayern Munich are reportedly looking to sign another winger before the end of the window, and they are keen to land Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea.
The French winger is out of favour under Enzo Maresca and was left out of the matchday squad in Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Nkunku impressed for the Blues during the Club World Cup. Still, he is expected to drop down the pecking order at the club following the arrivals of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Estevao.
Bayern Munich pushing to reach an agreement for Nkunku

Nkunku scored 15 goals in all competitions and provided five assists in 2024-25, but he only managed nine starts in the Premier League.
Bayern are long-term admirers of the winger. The German giants tried to sign him during the January transfer window, but they felt Chelsea’s asking price was too much.
It does not come as a big surprise that the Blues have returned for him again, with Max Eberl leading the negotiation to sign him.
Christian Falk informed CFBayern that Nkunku’s agent, Piuni Zahavi, has told Bayern that his client could stay at the London club for one more year.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, fresh talks between Chelsea and Bayern are planned to try to reach an agreement.
Bayern wanted to sign Nkunku on loan, which was ruled out immediately. Chelsea are averse to the idea of a loan with a permanent deal.
The Blues value the 27-year-old at €50m [£43.1m] but would likely accept a slightly lower initial figure plus add-ons if it meant Bayern agreeing to a permanent deal.
Nkunku has “asked to leave” Chelsea, and has made it clear that he only wants to join Bayern.
Will Bayern make a concrete offer for Nkunku?
The German champions earmarked VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade as their first-choice target, and offered €60m [£51.7m] to sign the forward.
Stuttgart have rejected the offer as they are refusing to accept any offer below €75m [£64.6m].
It is unclear whether Bayern would make another attempt to sign Woltemade, but one thing is clear – they have the required funds to sign Nkunku.
