Kingsley Coman sends brilliant message to Bayern fans after joining Al-Nassr

Kingsley Coman has left Bayern Munich to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

The 29-year-old initially joined Bayern on loan from Juventus, and later the move was made permanent.

Coman made 339 appearances for the German giants, scoring 72 goals and providing 71 assists. He won 21 trophies during his ten-year’ stay at Bayern, including nine Bundesliga titles and one Champions League.

The Frenchman made history by becoming the first goalscorer in the Club World Cup, and Vincent Kompany wanted him to stay.

However, his situation changed in recent weeks. The Saudi Pro League club offered a fee of around €30m, including add-ons. Coman has signed a deal with them until 2028.

Max Eberl said: “We would like to thank Kingsley Coman from the bottom of our hearts for a uniquely successful time together.

“With his goal in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris St. Germain, he secured a place in the club’s all-time history. King will always remain a part of FC Bayern, and we wish him all the best in his new challenge.”

According to journalist Philipp Kesler, not all Bayern’s decision makers are happy with the fee for which Coman was sold to Al-Nassr (maximum €35m if all add-ons are met).

Bayern paid roughly double the money for Luis Diaz, who had the same contract situation at Liverpool (until 2027) and is only 6 months younger.

On the other hand, Bayern will now save Coman’s hefty salary, but the critical voices at the club believe that the fee could have been higher.

Coman sends brilliant message to Bayern fans

Coman wrote: “It’s hard to believe that nearly 10 years have passed since I first made Munich my home as a 19-year-old.

“In that time, I’ve been blessed to share unforgettable memories and success with this incredible club—9 Bundesliga titles, 6 Super Cups, 3 German Cups, a Club World Cup, and, above all, my proudest moment; scoring the winning goal in the 2020 Champions League final in Lisbon.

“To the fans—your support through every triumph and every challenge has meant the world to me. I will always carry your love, passion and loyalty with me.

“I am deeply grateful to all the managers, coaches, teammates, and every member of staff I’ve had the privilege to work with during my journey.

“This club will forever be a part of me, and I wish Bayern nothing but continued success in the seasons ahead. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

King ❤️”

Bayern will be looking to sign a replacement for Coman, and they have been linked with a move for Chelsea winger Christopher Nkunku.
