Bayern Munich and Arsenal are reportedly in the race to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana.
The Gunners have spent big this summer by signing as many as six players, but they are not done yet, with the north London club reviving their interest in Eberechi Eze.
Mikel Arteta’s side finished second in the league in the past three seasons, and Arsenal are looking to assemble a squad capable of beating Liverpool and Manchester City to lift the Premier League title.
Malick Fofana could leave Lyon

According to a report from L’Equipe, Arsenal and Bayern are in the race to sign Fofana, who could be sold in the summer window.
The Ligue 1 outfit are struggling financially and still need to recoup £34m from player sales. They value Fofana at the same price.
Everton made a tempting offer to sign the exciting 20-year-old, but the youngster wants to join a Champions League side only.
Back in July, reports emerged that Liverpool and Bayern were interested in signing Fofana, but the Bavarian giants focused on signing Luis Diaz instead, whereas the Reds went on to sign other targets.
The Independent also reported that Arsenal and Chelsea were interested in signing the Belgian. Chelsea have moved on to other targets, which leaves Bayern and Arsenal as two major suitors vying for his signature.
Do Bayern have an edge over Arsenal in signing Fofana?
Despite signing Diaz, Bayern still need one more attacker to their ranks, following the departure of Kingsley Coman.
Fofana registered 11 goals and six assists from 41 appearances across all competitions in his breakthrough campaign last season.
With Arsenal reportedly close to signing Eze from Palace on a big-money deal, chances are very slim that they would go after Fofana as well. Thereby, the door could open for the Bavarian giants to lure Fofana away from Les Gones.
Bayern are yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea for Christian Nkunku, and they might make a serious effort to land the young winger.
Bayern have funds to spend big on their next signing, but whether they will make a concrete effort for the youngster remains to be seen.
