Bayern Munich are still not out of the race for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson in a dramatic transfer twist on the transfer deadline day.
Only 24 hours ago, Chelsea instructed Jackson (and his agent) to return to London, and it looked like the deal was as good as over.
Bayern also informed the player and his agent, Ali Barat, that they cannot take any action as they do not have the right to keep him.
Deal for Jackson back on?

It has been reported that Bharat is working hard to make the deal possible again.
The player’s camp are refusing to give up. Jackson was looking to move back to Senegal after he was told that the deal was off. However, he is still in Munich, and talks have started again.
Christian Falk has told CFBayern exclusively that Bayern are back in the race, and this time they are optimistic that a deal will be struck.
Chelsea want to sell Jackson permanently, but they are unlikely to get any suitors on deadline day who would spend big money on him.
It will be interesting to see how talks progress, but there is optimism in Bayern’s camp that they could reach an agreement with Chelsea in the next few hours.
Bayern still want to sign him on loan.
Interesting next few hours
Anything can happen on the transfer deadline day and therefore the next few hours are going to be vital in the Jackson transfer saga.
Bayern are running out of time to explore options elsewhere, and therefore, they must try their best to secure a deal for Jackson.
The best part in this case is that Jackson personally wants to move to Bayern, and since he is still in Munich, it won’t take much time to complete his medical if the deal is agreed.
