Bayern Munich are paying close attention towards signing a new striker next summer, and Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as an option.
The Bavarian giants could face competition from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United for the former Fiorentina striker.
Despite signing Benjamin Sesko in the summer, the Red Devils feel the need to add more depth and quality in the forward areas, as Joshua Zirkzee has failed to make an impact.
Dusan Vlahovic – transfer situation

The 25-year-old striker moved to Turin from Fiorentina in the January window of 2022 and has scored 62 goals in all competitions for them.
Vlahovic will become a free agent next summer. He is on high wages, and the club will not be able to provide him a contract extension.
Ideally, they could look to ship him out in January, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Man Utd would be interested in signing him.
Man Utd could face competition from Bayern Munich
Christian Falk has told CFBayern that the Bavarian giants are also in the mix to sign the 25-year-old striker, and they are “gathering information” at the moment.
Vlahovic scored 17 goals in all competitions last season and has started the season strongly, scoring four goals.
Falk explained the situation: “FC Bayern had already held talks with Vlahovic’s management while he was still playing in Florence.
“At that time, the club were looking for a successor to Robert Lewandowski, who had moved to FC Barcelona. Bayern opted for a new system and they signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool instead, which was a transfer mistake.
“The German giants rectified the mistake by signing Harry Kane. Vlahovic would fit perfectly into FC Bayern’s system and continue the tradition of the true number 9 at Bayern, and therefore, his name has been discussed at Bayern.
“The club is once again gathering information, as he could be an interesting signing for the club since he would be a free agent next summer.
“He could be the successor of Kane if he ever wants to leave. Also, Vlahovic can forge a good partnership with Kane upfront, and the two can play together.”
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed Bayern’s interest in Vlahovic. The transfer expert recently stated that Bayern made calls to inquire about the striker’s situation, including his contract and the cost of a potential deal.
As of now, they have not submitted an offer or started negotiations over a deal.
Bayern signed Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea, and they have an option to sign him permanently. Jackson needs to start around 40 games for Bayern to trigger the clause.
While Bayern can renegotiate a deal for Jackson, the Senegalese first need to prove that he is worth keeping.
The race of Vlahohic is expected to heat up in the coming months. Man Utd are long-term admirers, and they are expected to make a concrete effort to sign the Serbian international, but Bayern could be in the mix as well.
