‘I could definitely see that’ – Kane shares bold future update amid Tottenham return link

Harry Kane has been enjoying a phenomenal 2025-26 campaign for Bayern Munich.

The 32-year-old striker has been linked with a return to the Premier League in recent months, but it appears that Kane has no plans to leave Bayern any time soon.

It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur have a “priority” option on Kane if he decides to leave Bayern next summer.

Spurs boss Thomas Frank is a huge admirer of Kane, and he openly admitted that their record goalscorer will be warmly welcomed at the club if he decides to return someday.

Christian Falk previously told CFBayern Kane could return to England, and Spurs have a priority option to sign their club legend.

According to a recent report from Bild, Kane can leave Bayern for £56.7m next summer, but only if he informs the club before the end of the January window.

Since then, Kane has made it clear that he is not even thinking of returning to the Premier League. He has two years left on his current contract, and he is very happy at Bayern.

Falk reported last month that Kane could sign a new contract extension at the club, and the striker has confirmed that it is a possibility.

What Harry Kane has said about his future

The England skipper has scored 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title. He has already scored 16 goals and provided three assists in all competitions.

“In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that,” he said, as quoted by BBC Sport.

“I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

“Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

“In terms of the Premier League, I don’t know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

“Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn’t say I would never go back.

“What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern.”

Kane needs 48 goals to eclipse Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record of 260, and while he may decide to return to England in the future, it appears that he could also be open to extending his stay in Germany.
