Bayern Munich maintained their perfect start to the 2025-26 season after beating Pafos FC 5-1 away from home on Tuesday night.
With nine wins from nine competitive matches, it is their best start to the season since the 2012/13 treble campaign under Jupp Heynckes.
The Bavarian giants have scored 35 goals and only conceded eight, and they are arguably the best team in Europe at the moment.

Bayern have been scoring for fun, and at the same time, they have been solid at the back. The team is only going to get better when the likes of Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanic return from injuries.
While Harry Kane and Michael Olise are grabbing the headlines for their stellar performances this season, and rightly so, Kompany will be pleased to find that other members of his squad are also chipping in with top-quality performances.
One of them is Konrad Laimer.
According to a fresh stat from Squawka, Laimer has created the most chances in Europe’s top five leagues, ahead of Jack Grealish.
Konrad Laimer – the unsung hero?
Laimer has made five starts in the Bundesliga this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He was outstanding in the 4-0 win against Werder Bremen and maintained an enviable standard in almost every game.
The defender has started in both the Champions League games, and he is one of the first names in Kompany’s team sheet at the moment.
The 28-year-old has played at right-back, left-back, and even in defensive midfield, but he has been most effective playing on the right-hand side.
The role of the full-backs is pivotal in Bayern’s fluid attacking system, and this is where Laimer has been most effective. His bundles of energy going forward, and his ability to produce the perfect pass or cross, have made Bayern such a joy to watch.
Moreover, the presence of Olise on his flank has primarily brought the best out of him. He remains the unsung hero for Bayern.
