Serge Gnabry is willing to waive some of his salary in order to negotiate a new contract at Bayern.
The Germany international’s current terms are set to expire in the next summer transfer window (2026).
Gnabry has enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign, registering six goal contributions in as many top-flight games.
Serge Gnabry wants to stay at Bayern Munich

The ball is now in Bayern’s court!
Sporting director Max Eberl was charged in the summer with the important task of lowering the squad wage bill.
After moves for Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade fell through, Eberl was hamstrung in the market, with Uli Hoeneß and the supervisory board ordering a loans-only policy.
That all said, Serge Gnabry’s performances this term, in the absence of injured stars like Jamal Musiala, have been very encouraging.

But don’t forget that Gnabry’s future in Munich isn’t totally safe, as an internal debate continues over the possibility of signing Said el Mala (19).
So, it will be interesting to see how flexible the Bundesliga champions are in negotiations.

Turkish interest in Serge Gnabry inspires Leroy Sané flashback

The 30-year-old attacker – currently earning €17m-20m (£14.7m-17.3m) gross – is attracting interest from Turkish clubs.
This will undoubtedly inspire recent memories of Leroy Sané’s summer move (on a free transfer) to Galatasaray after contract negotiations broke down.
The former Manchester City wide man had been on a salary worth €20m. However, FC Bayern were only prepared to offer in the region of €8m (£6.9m) up to a maximum of €12m (£10.4m).
After positive negotiations between both sides and a verbal agreement – there was a sudden change in dynamic!
Sané changed agency and ultimately opted to agree a transfer to Galatasaray instead.
