RB Leipzig would not be interested in a swap deal between Cody Gakpo and Yan Diomande.
This comes amid Liverpool’s ongoing interest in the high-profile left winger.

The teenager (19) has registered 10 goals and seven assists in 26 Bundesliga games this term.
Cody Gakpo won’t swap with Yan Diomande
You can understand the logic behind Liverpool considering a swap deal that sees Diomande join their ranks alongside another young, energetic left winger in Rio Ngumoha.
However, the Dutchman would simply not suit the profile that the German top-flight outfit is looking for.
“I heard the rumours of a potential swap deal being in the works for Cody Gakpo and Diomande,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“Liverpool need a replacement with Mo Salah set to leave this summer, and it’s going to be difficult for them to bring in Michael Olise. I know that because Bayern Munich have made that crystal clear. So that’s why it would be a good option to get Yan Diomande.
“However, the rumours of a swap deal hold no truth. I heard there was no offer from Liverpool, and also, Leipzig wouldn’t make this swap deal because Gakpo is too expensive. Not to mention that they have a completely different profile in mind; they’re searching for younger players who can develop at the club. So, they’re not interested in Cody Gakpo.”
The Reds, it seems, will be forced to fork out a seismic fee for the winger – likely exceeding the €100m [£86.4m] mark.

Why are Liverpool so keen on Diomande transfer?
The answer is simple: Liverpool are supremely lacking in pace down the left-hand side.
Gakpo proved to be an excellent option for Arne Slot’s men when he could rotate with first-choice Luis Diaz.
However, the Colombian’s departure has since seen his former partner’s influence wane, whilst it seems the club is managing Ngumoha’s minutes carefully.
In this case, signing Yan Diomande would likely restore some much-needed aggression and bite to Liverpool’s left flank. Albeit at a most exorbitant price!
