Nick Woltemade is not currently at the forefront of decision-makers’ minds at FC Bayern.
The Newcastle United striker is currently on loan with Serie A giants Juventus.
The 24-year-old has registered one goal in four appearances (across all competitions) for the Old Lady in the 2026/27 season.
It’s not all over for Nick Woltemade and FC Bayern

While Bayern aren’t necessarily planning a swoop for the former VfB Stuttgart star in 2027, the German star can still work to attract Bayern’s eye.
As Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider: “Now, he has the chance to perform in Jürgen Klopp’s squad with the German national team. There, he can show exactly what kind of striker he can be.
“But at the moment, there’s no idea of trying to try and bring the 24-year-old to Bayern Munich.
“Of course, it goes without saying that if Woltemade does well for the national team, there’s always an option for Bayern. That’s because the club is always on the lookout for opportunities to fill the squad with quality German nationals – as many as they can get.”
But of course, one should reasonably imagine that Woltemade will have to be quite impressive during the international break for Bayern to overlook any struggles at club level.

And there should already be concerns on that front, given that the footballer has been limited to only 131 minutes of action within four appearances.
Hardly a sufficient amount of time on the pitch to turn his fortunes and reputation around in club football.
No future at Newcastle under Matthias Jaissle?

The early signs indicate that, regardless of how he performs away from Newcastle, Woltemade may not be considered a possible fit within a Matthias Jaissle team.
This could, therefore, lead to a permanent opportunity away from the Magpies in 2027. Albeit Newcastle are technically under no pressure to sell, with his current terms running until 2031. How viable that stance is, however, if Nick Woltemade is to be loaned out at every opportunity, relying on other clubs to reignite his playing career remains to be seen.
With that in mind, we’d be far from surprised to see Newcastle look to cut their losses while Woltemade’s current value is protected rather than gamble on another loan spell or two.
It is, of course, a long season, and a promising spell at Juventus could yet change Jaissle’s mind over the course of the 2026/27 campaign.
One to keep an eye on.
