Bayern Munich have made it clear that they want to sign VfB Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade, but not at an exorbitant price.
Premier League outfit Chelsea were heavily interested in signing the 23-year-old versatile forward, who has stolen the show at the U21 Euros.
Christian Falk reported last week that Woltemade has officially informed Chelsea (and Napoli) that he wants to join Bayern Munich, following scheduled meetings between representatives of the two clubs.
Bayern Munich make their intentions clear

Bayern made a late attempt to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
The Bavarian giants expressed their interest, although they were not willing to pay Dortmund’s €65m [£55.3m] fee for the winger.
Gittens prefers a move to Chelsea. It came as a blow for Bayern, who have been struggling to lure some of their top targets this summer.
However, they are now in a strong position to sign Woltemade. Bayern have already reached a verbal agreement with Woltemade, and all they need now is to strike a deal with Stuttgart.
After Bayern’s 4-2 win against Flamengo, Max Eberl has confirmed that Bayern want to sign the forward, but they are not going to pay £68m for Woltemade.
The German champions are ready to pay around £42m for the striker.
“The whole world now knows that Nick is a player who is interesting to us. That’s no longer a secret,” said Eberl, as quoted by Bild.
When asked if Woltemade is worth €80m [£68m], Eberl replied: “No. There’s a framework within which you can say: It’s a good fit.”
Woltemade emerges as a major target for Bayern
Throughout the opening part of the summer window, Bayern kept chasing several left-wingers to bolster their squad, but they couldn’t reach an agreement.
While Bayern have not given up on faint hopes of signing Nico Williams, it appears that Woltemade has become their number one target.
Woltemade scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 28 German top-flight games last season. He can play as a striker or in the number 10 role.
Bayern probably see him as a back-up option for Harry Kane, but doubts remain whether he will get enough game time in the presence of the England striker and Jamal Musiala.
