Bayern Munich are understood to have opened ‘initial talks’ with reported target Luis Henrique‘s entourage ahead of the summer.
Florian Plettenberg reports that the Brazilian (23) is ‘aware’ of the Bavarian giants’ interest in his services.
This latest update follows in the wake of growing noise around the forward’s qualities and interest from several European outfits, including Nottingham Forest, Bayer Leverkusen, Newcastle United and Inter Milan.
The Italian giants, in particular, are quite keen to get a deal over the line ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup this summer.
Luis Henrique in talks with FC Bayern
Assuming that Bayern Munich can remove Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry from the wage bill, the club could confirm a financial masterclass this summer with the highly affordable attacker.
Both exits, for what it’s worth, would save the club in excess of €689k-a-week [over £591k-a-week] in wages (according to Capology).
Plettenberg reports that Henrique’s potential price tag would range from €30m–35m [£25.7m-30m].

The Ligue 1 hotshot has registered nine goals and seven assists in 2,418 minutes in 2024/25 (at a rate of one goal contribution every 151.12 minutes).
Bayern will have their pick of left wingers
It seems that Bayern Munich will have their pick of potential left-sided winger signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Jamie Gittens, also linked with a move to Vincent Kompany’s outfit, has reportedly informed Borussia Dortmund of his desire to cut ties with the club at the end of the season.
The former Manchester City youth product, however, could very well fetch a less appetising price depending on how BVB end the campaign.
A failure to secure Champions League football, for instance, would surely prompt a cut-price sale of one of the club’s most exciting young talents.
At this point, Christoph Freund and Co. would have quite the decision on their hands, given we’ll be forced to account for Gittens’ already significant Bundesliga experience.
Henrique, by comparison, would represent more of a gamble – albeit an affordable one at potentially €30m!
