Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz has showered praise on Harry Kane.
The England striker scored his 100th goal for the German giants last week when he netted a brace in the 4-0 win against Werder Bremen.
However, it is his future that has come under speculation in recent weeks, with the striker linked with a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich
It has been speculated for a while that Kane might want to return to the Premier League to break Alan Shearer’s goal-scoring records.
Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tottenham have the ‘first option’ to move for Kane if he decides to leave. Kane has a contract at Bayern until 2027, and he can leave the club for £56.7m next summer, but only if he informs the club before the end of the January window.
Christian Falk reported that Bayern need to make a big decision on the 32-year-old, but it seems the former Spurs striker has made life easier for them.
After the win against Bremen, Kane has admitted that he is not even thinking about breaking Shearer’s record, and instead hinted at a possible contract extension at Bayern.
Thomas Frank is a big admirer of the striker, and he said recently that Spurs would welcome him back. However, Kane feels that he has a better chance of winning trophies at Bayern, and that is where his priority lies at the moment.
Luis Diaz raves about Harry Kane
Diaz knows Kane from his time at Liverpool, and he is enjoying sharing the same dressing room with the former Tottenham striker.
The Colombian, the big-money summer signing from Liverpool, has admitted that Kane has impressed him the most of all Bayern players.
He said: “Harry Kane! From my time at Liverpool, when he was still at Tottenham, I knew he scored a lot of goals.
“But when I first trained with him, I thought, ‘This guy is brutal!’ – He does everything, scores goals, shapes the play, and even defends. He totally surprised me. I’m very happy to be playing alongside him now.”
Diaz has made a strong start at his new club and has impressed in almost every game. Meanwhile, Kane has already scored 15 goals in all competitions this season.
